About this card
Sif is the wife of Thor and the mother of Ullr (in some accounts). Her defining myth: Loki, in a fit of mischief, cut off her beautiful golden hair; Thor threatened to kill him, so Loki went to the dwarves and had them make new hair for her — real gold, which grew like real hair [S2]. Sif is a figure of beauty and of the domestic side of the Æsir [S2].
