About this card

Telemachus is the son of Odysseus and Penelope. The Odyssey opens with him, now a young man, being urged by Athena (in disguise) to take charge and to seek news of his missing father. His journey (the 'telemachy') to Pylos and Sparta to find out what happened to Odysseus frames the epic's opening books [S3].
