About this card
In some Egyptian genealogies (especially the later 'syncrisis' that tried to merge the different traditions), there is an 'elder' Horus (Harsomatus, 'Horus of the South') who is the son of the original sky-falcon Horus and the father of the younger Horus (the son of Osiris and Isis) [S4]. This is one of the genuine complications in Egyptian genealogy: the sources do not consistently distinguish the 'sky-falcon' Horus from the 'son of Osiris' Horus [S4].
